Our Outreach Programs:
Greetings from The Alive Gathering Ministries of Springfield (TAGM), Virginia. Our church is considered a "Restoration Center" for hurting people. We are a small church that sincerely cares about the well being of our neighbors and we share compassion for those in need. Matthew 25:40 states: 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.'
The TAGM Outreach Committee has been blessed to serve our community in a variety of ways during its tenure, to include:

Collection and personal delivery of numerous items (i.e. telephone calling cards, various clothing items, toiletries, books, snacks, etc.) to wounded soldiers at Walter Reed Army Medical Center returning from Afghanistan and Iraq.

Purchased and provided Bibles to the Persecuted Church through Open Doors Ministry.

Collection and personal delivery of Burger King Gift Certificates, personal toiletries, Bibles, dvd movies, etc. to residents of the Eleanor Kennedy Homeless Shelter; Mondloch I shelter for familes (abused women and children); and Mondloch II (severe mental impairments). When serving the homeless in our community we spend the day cooking (cookouts), playing outdoor games, board games, and fellowshipping with the residents.

We participate in Letter Writing to prisoners around the nation under SomeOne Cares Prison Ministry.

For several years, we have participated in Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Ministry, where we prepare shoeboxes filled with school supplies, toys, personal items, candy, and a variety of other gifts. This is a nation-wide effort that is lead by Reverend Franklin Graham.

Congregation and visitors donate change from their pockets in our Change to Change the World. This change is used to fund and build churches around the world.

Volunteer with Mid-Atlantic Gleaning Network and others in reaping a bountiful harvest of fruits and vegetables from farmer's fields which are then donated to feed those in need.

Sing patriotic and Christian songs for physically and mentally challenged clients at Central Fairfax Services.

Participate in a letter writing campaign for troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.
- Help Those in Need: Joint outreach between New Hope Housing, Eleanor Kennedy Homeless Shelter, Mondloch I and II Homeless Shelters, Mid-Atlantic Gleaning, Central Fairfax Services, and TAGM.

Blanket and Pillow Drive for those in need (homeless).

We visited the Mondloch House Shelter in Hybla Valley of Fairfax County which provides temporary housing and services for homeless families (approximately 30 people including children). We cooked a meal and fellowshipped with the residents. We also took Bibles, diapers, games, movies, DVDs, coloring books, and story books for the shelter to have there for the children to play with while they are there.

TAGM is located at 6820-A Commercial Drive, Springfield, VA 22151. Services are conducted at 10:00 am and 6:00 pm on Sundays.
