TAGM adopted a family from the Salvation Army this year.  The family had two boys and two girls.  We provided the family with everything for Christmas dinner, cookie dough for the children to make and decorate cookies, and presents for each child and even presents for mom.  I pray that God will bless each one of them this coming year.  It was a real blessing for each and every person who participated in our "Spirit Tree" project.
At our Christmas Banquet each person brought a new unwrapped toy for a child.  These toys were taken to Lorton Community Action Center where they were distributed to families in need.

TAGM collected children's clothing the month of September for Keith Harvey to send them to the Philippines around October 1st.   Keith requested sweatshirts, thin sweaters, etc. because it does get chilly in the mountains at night.  He also requested that no heavy winter clothing. 

TAGM Supported Gwen Williams in for walk for Lung Cancer.  Below is her letter:

Family and Friends,

As you already know I lost my brother Rick to Lung Cancer on November 6, 2009.  To honor him and support research for Lung Cancer I have decided to sign up for a charity walk to raise money to help find a cure for Lung Cancer.  The 5K walk is called Race for Breath and it was held at Virginia Beach on November 5, 2011 on the 2 year anniversary of Ricks death.  I will be walking as part of TEAM RICK and I will only be walking one mile, others will be walking/running the whole 5K.

The William's Family are members of our congregation and it would be a real blessing to them if you participated in this event.  If you cannot give at this time, please remember the family in your prayers!
